Anastasia Sarantinou
Having studied all different printmaking techniques she started to apply her knowledge to different materials and the reaction they have on one another to her painting work. Experimenting with different materials, chemicals and paints in one artwork has become the core of her work. Experimentation and art to her are parallel. "I enjoy the process much more than the outcome” She says of her work.
The artist about her painting:
‘This painting depicts the sharp contrasts within which we live as the black and white background highlights. The car (Volkswagen) which was designed to be the car for everyone and yet even today there are so many people that even the most basic car stays out of their reach though they are within their physical reach daily by being exposed to traffic wherever they go’.
