" During the dry African seasons, herds of elephants tumble out of the forests to drink and wallow in the cool water. As they migrate, the fine dust of their passing hangs in the air changing the colours of the landscape to textured greys and browns of the elephants themselves. In this painting I try to capture the essence of migration and change in our landscape and how it affects colour, subject and atmosphere."
